Trying to Fit in, is Something many don't really understand, because to us as reverts its a Struggle, Islam teaches us we are one United Ummah, But as reverts many times born Muslims have a Habit in making us Feel like unwanted Outcasts
There's been a few times in my own Mosque I seat by myself away from everyone else, because of what they maybe saying about me, I remember when they gave me my First Thobe I was Happy and Excited,
But I quickly learned the only reason why they gave the Thobe was because when I'm prostrating my Shirt would go up from the back, but that was not even the Worst part, the worst part was when the Mosque members had to explain to some why I They gave me the Thobe
I got the feeling that some of the Muslims in my Mosque where not happy I was wearing a Thobe,
As for Muslim Twitter it feels like so many of you in this app can't tell the Difference Between Culture appropriation and standing in Solidarity, so as Born Muslims you all don't gotta worry about us trying not to fit in, we already know we are Outcasts
And I'm Latino Hispanic Muslim, so yes Even though I don't come from a Brown Muslim family, I'm Brown,

Not only do

I Gotta prove to the Mexicans how Mexican I am, I also Gotta prove to The Muslims how Muslim I am,

As funny as this sounds its true
