Ok I& #39;m pretty sure I haven& #39;t directly ranted abt it before so uh-
Abt ed 14& #39;s metaphors and symbolism and how they tear my heart out,
Abt ed 14& #39;s metaphors and symbolism and how they tear my heart out,
The very first seconds are straight up just Boruto& #39;s memories as if he& #39;s thinking about everything he& #39;s seen; and then it changes to another representation of his thoughts, as if a dream in a dream or him thinking about how it& #39;s all led to that point
And then you have my favorite scene of the whole ed tbh, the part w the room and the paint. You& #39;ve got the single door and railroad representing everyone& #39;s expectations of him to be the next Hokage and shit like that, how he tears it all down as happy as he could ever damn be
And then Sasuke shows up, just to say & #39;he& #39;s the one who started this& #39;. And I& #39;m honestly still a little stumped on it-maybe just to show his innocence here, esp with his sleeves being rolled up like his academy outfit-but he doesn& #39;t have his headband, which sticks out to me
But after that is another best sequence, which honestly says to me him thinking & #39;it& #39;s gonna be a crazy ride getting where I wanna be, but it& #39;ll be worth it& #39;, especially with the excited way he reaches out at the end (also my favorite screenshot of him honestly)
Then rewinding back to the 2nd tweet of this thread, when it fades to him just looking up at the stone faces, which is what says to me that the whole thing was just his thought process, y& #39;know? Like he& #39;s just Thinkin
And in another op or ed-I honestly can& #39;t remember which one, but someone made a tweet abt how Naruto had held onto a gem that was his dream and Boruto tried to do the same but couldn& #39;t? Regardless, even if it& #39;s just their usual sign of greeting now, his fist is closed at the end
This says to me that he& #39;s accepting a new dream, that this one didn& #39;t get away; see again the scene where he& #39;s reaching out at the end of the Good Animation sequence everyone loves (also his smile at that part makes me die every time he& #39;s so precious in this ed)
I think it& #39;s also all...a very good way of communicating how hopeful he is, how innocent his dreams really are, with the emotions and the pure happiness expressed throughout this whole ending. It honestly makes me tear up almost every time I watch it
Not to mention that it gets me thinking about how innocent he really is, the bullshit he& #39;s going thru rn, the fact that *Sasuke* is the one he got his dream from, the way he& #39;s still accepting Naruto back into his life, my own parental issues,,,,i jut s. Need to lay down,
In any case I& #39;m done ranting, I just had to let everyone (cough every 5 or so of you seeing this) know how many damn thoughts I had abt this ed (1 last detail: the paint turning into confetti could be a good point; as if the possibilities
he& #39;s been painting his one path road with became a real concept, became a celebration of everything he could be and everything Sasuke& #39;s *shown* him he could be)
I also just realized he doesn& #39;t have his Karma (? I& #39;m abt 90% sure) in this ending either...again, mental space, could be hinting that he doesn& #39;t exactly see the headband as an extension of himself and more as a symbol that he eventually accepts baded on the opening sequence
Okok now I& #39;m done, b on ur merry way
