// police brutality , racism , islamophobia

i don't see anyone talking about this anymore and we still don't have justice, so please rt

#MuhammadMuhaymin was an unarmed black muslim struggling with homelessness and mental illness, who was murdered by Phoenix police in 2017.
This story sounds REAL familiar. Body cam footage was also released, however I will not be linking it here due to how graphic and hard to watch it is. It's very easily accessible on Google though!!
He just wanted to use the public bathroom. He had his emotional support dog with him when he was stopped by the manager of the community centre who told him to leave his dog outside. The manager then told an employee to call 911.
The police officers then tried to solve the issue by letting Muhaymin use the restroom, while they waited for him to exit they conducted a background search and discovered that he failed to appear in court in 2016 over possession of a marijuana pipe.
As Muhaymin exited the restroom, officers tried to arrest him. In the struggle, he ended up face down on the ground with 4 OFFICERS on him. AFTER ALMOST 9 MINUTES OF AN OFFICER ON HIS NECK, HE PLEADED FOR HELP. THEY CONTINUED MURDERING HIM.
He says "I can't breathe" multiple times.
"Please Allah," Muhaymin says.

"Allah? He's not going to help you now," one of the officers says.

"Just relax."
"Please help me," he says, in between screams.
"Please."

"Relax!" an officer says. "Stop resisting."
All of the officers are still on the force, one has even become a detective. DETECTIVE. I beg of you all to please get this back on national news. Not only did they murder him, he was mocked while struggling for his life. This is reality. #justiceformuhammadmuhaymin
Kimberly Jones explains this very well https://twitter.com/MuslimAdvocates/status/1346173499199655938/video

For my black/muslim oomfs and non oomfs these frequent attacks on our people can be overwhelming, here's a nice thread if any of you need to calm down! https://twitter.com/hyunstopia/status/1337227171790639106
