Doing this to Black folks, asking them what to do to help, might seem like you're trying to be helpful from your perspective but, what you're really doing is asking them to give you their labor for free. It's work to research resources. It takes time & effort.

Worse, you're asking someone who is likely to be traumatized to maybe relive some of that trauma for Your benefit. That's just wrong. And it causes harm.

While you're researching how to help, you should look up the history of White folks demanding free labor from Black folks. And then spend some time thinking about it. Because you obviously need to.
