#RIP to a genuine genius, one of history’s greatest funkateers and a warrior for the joy of creative expression, Shock G.

Shock G was the spirit of the Bay: brilliantly creative, completely wild and entirely original.

What a crushing blow. No one else in hip-hop history has ever brought the verve and straight up fun that Shock brought. And behind all the ridiculousness was a razor-sharp mind and a brilliant producer.

In short this fucking sucks.

Honestly I’m proud I got to share a planet with Shock G.

He was really one of my heroes. Embodies everything I aspire to be as an artist. Hilarious, smart, brave, distinct. Everyone goes it’s just hard to imagine someone drying who was so full of life.

Love to Money B, Young Hump and everyone who loved that amazing man. The whole fucking Bay is in my heart.
