One major concern of vaccine hesitant persons (besides how fast it was developed which I've addressed before): long-term side effects.

I realized I never spoke about it so

In the past, there have been 4 vaccines that have had long term adverse side effects: yellow fever vaccine, oral polio vaccine, the swine flu vaccine of 1976 and the MMR vaccine. The thing that all of these vaccines have in common is that they use(d) "live" virus in the vaccine.

None of the COVID-19 vaccines use the SARS-CoV-2 virus in them.

To be noted:
All of the "long term" adverse side effects of the other 4 vaccines happened within 2ish months of being vaccinated.

Vaccine drives for COVID-19 have been happening since December.
