Congresswoman @IlhanMN presented Duante Wright's mother with the American flag that flew at the Capitol in her son's honor.

Governor @GovTimWalz read a proclamation honoring Wright and presented her with it as well.

"We know that this tragedy is connected to the deep, systemic racism in our society that Black people in Minnesota and across the country face every single day."

Senator @amyklobuchar spoke at the #DaunteWrightFuneral about the "George Floyd Justice in Policing Act."

"We have to change the status quo so that driving while Black doesn't result in being shot," she said.
