the whole Sonic Adventure arc in the comics is super contrived and clearly nobody involved in the comic wanted to actually do it
i know the penders/bollers era of writing wasn't predicated on logical plot construction but this might be their absolute nadir

at least this arc gives us some cool perfect chaos art, including the Perfect Chaos Says Trans Rights panel

big in the comics is actually pretty cool i mean look at this dude

it's him!! this mini-arc is a nice pick-me-up after that sonic adventure stuff. the art is good, the writing is a huge improvement over penders', and it has metal sonic, which is an instant plus

also this is the one who becomes shard later iirc so i automatically Love Him

they play up king acorn's disability like it's the worst thing in the world but not only is it 1. not that, but also 2. they live in a society where cybernetic modification is very common, so this would be a pretty easy fix

dont get me wrong, i actually like the Endgame arc despite all its weird plotting, but this kinda shit is why the super genesis wave was a tragic necessity
