Ok, political sales pitch time, let's dig into this.

(Props for encouraging people to postal vote @Rugby_Labour but this arrived after the deadline printed on it)
Increased regulation and limitation of HMO's and a crackdown on unregistered ones is a positive step overall but let's make sure it doesn't translate into "poorer people forced out of 'respectable' areas".

I honestly think this is a week front page lead.
Simple bullet points: good
Thank you NHS: performative wank
Summaries usually light on detail, approve of getting the station open even though it's on the other side of town, looked kinda isolated on maps though.

Join combined authority good.

Put a url for your regeneration ideas though.
This might take a couple tweets to unpack.

Declaring a climate emergency is just one of those things you do these days to look like you're doing something without doing anything.
Positive that your focus is on ordinary peoples every needs, the French yellow jacket movement rose from environmental measurea that were too much stick and no carrot. We want to change but we don't burn fossil fuels for the lulz.
Local focus also good, I think this is the only mention of apprenticeships in this whole document, I'll come back to that later.
I like the focus on home efficiency standards but as a tenant I have no ability to affect changes to my home and landlords do not care.
As someone who tries to keep their life generally walkable I approve of more walking and cycling routes, especially away from busy roads.

Electric bus service is a cool idea but you missed something.
đŸŽ¶We're on a bus to nowheređŸŽ¶
Jokes aside, I used to live in Newton and the bus service up there is appalling.

I like the green spaces, more green spaces, better walk ways.

A holistic transport policy would be quite nice, can we have the busses not be private?
A note about the great place to transport goods, it's all trucks, trucks all the damn way down. Trucks everywhere and all JIT.

It really undermines your whole green transport message to claim this is a good thing. The entire system is rotten.
On Rugby Station being at capacity ... the facilities are meagre, the Southbound LNW platform feels small and that single underpass behind the gateline limits throughput. It's also kind of out of the way and should have a bus interchange at its entrance.
I'm glad there's a focus on access for all. Even as an abled person I find the quality of footpaths in this country lacking and here on Brand Rd they're always totally blocked by parked cars. There also really needs to be a proper crossing where Butlers Leap crosses the brook.
I hope that determination to tackle speeding is more traffic measures than just sticking up a gatso.

Make the road difficult to traverse at speed, make it clear using the architecture of the street that it's not the cars domain.

Don't just glue peoples attention to a number.
Estates should be managed by the council, that's what it's for, it's not what property developers are for.
I don't have much to say about this, I'm in favour of good educational opportunities for everyone's kids.

BUT, this is where you should talk about wanting to open more apprenticeships in the area so that young people can learn a trade instead of finishing school and left to rot.
A whole lot of stuff about parking. The Benn Ward looks to be mainly obsolete Victorian housing long past its sell by date so that's not surprising but I'd have expected a party with such a focus on housing to be advancing something a bit bolder.
Look, I know this is true but fuck right off with beating me with it.

Put the clamps on Kier and get him to support an electoral pact to bring proportional representation to all levels so shut the fuck up about this.

Also, you spelled emergency wrong.
Eh, you already said all this stuff, I've honestly not noticed the streetlight thing though.
Just replace this whole page with one word.

Enforcement

That's all you said and I'm so disappointed I'm unlikely to vote for this guy.
It's 2021, read the room.

Systemic racism is a problem here too, or did you miss that report being condemned.

Misuse of police as the hammer for all nails is as much a problem here as there.
Not once in this whole page are minorities even mentioned, I'm a member of two and am friends with others. Tell me how you will make the police an organisation I and my friends can trust.
Tell me about your ideas for enhancing social programs as an alternative to police involvement.

You said our police are wastefully expensive but offer no detail or concept for remediation.
It's all just enforcement, enforcement, enforcement, look at us, we're tough on crime!

I'm not convinced.
Also, there are plenty of words you could have used here but you *chose* this one.

Might I suggest "surplus" or maybe "excess".

No, you went with "profit" ... when talking about seized assets.

Words matter.
