• that 0.5 is solely for the prominent message i get in the 2nd-3rd half of the show
• xianxia usually get a 3 from me (rationally) bc, well, it's fantasy and it's a trope that don't have any big messages (commonly) but this one has so,,

• main message of the show: your pride and prejudice can harm others. stay humble and don't be self-righteous
• the cp don't get to me as strong and as deep as many people did, but i do see the solid love they both have for one another

• i personally feels like the 9 lives of theirs were shown quite neat and tight, like i really just able to understand (even with) their very short plot.
• reallyreallyreaaalllyyy love the found family in this one their strong bond and loyalties, esp the demons,,

• chuxuanji— i did took my time to like her and her naïve-ness. like i understand, but doesn't mean it didn't annoyed me her aura as the War God though, wew so powerful. but i like her best as xuanji (with 6 senses recovered, tyvm)

• yusifeng— so selfless it's good, but also madly infuriating sorrynotsorry. thank goodness his sincerity did saved everyone :D also spits blood every other seconds 1q. why.

[would love to know why xixuan liked the War God back then, enough to enter mortal realm with her]

• chulinglong— annoying, a brat, v protective of her sister, big mouth, all talk less actions. when she was captured and finally woke up with all bad memories haunting her,, yea that's tragic and pitiful. BUT when she told xj to get over sf,,, i don't appreciate that

• zhongminyan— i do like him. such a loyal friend. not that powerful though. kinda frustrating when he misjudged sf, but i understand where he came from but like urghhh well at least he did redeemed himself in the end

• tingnu— the great physician. the wisest of them all,, maybe due to his age, he did lived longer than them after all.....
• ruoyu— more like idc abt you lmao so-so lah, idk. he did redeemed himself in the end too, but i never did thought him as evil tbvh

• liuyihuan— loved him and his blunt honesty. don't really care when he's w his daughter tbh, mainly bc i don't really like that girl lol
• zihu— i love her too her faith and pure love on wuzhiqi really is heartwarming, well,, at least that didn't end up in vain

• wuzhiqi— came a bit late to the game but he got my attention instantly powerful man with a good head on his shoulders
• tengshe— another one of my fav character of the show i mean who doesn't like him actually?? funny, cute and lovable. the real show stealer.

• luyanran— i appreciate her loyalty to her master. but she's like the minor brat after linglong actually lol

• heard it was originally 72 eps, and then was cut short into 59,,, well,, tbf even the 59 one i felt like wanting to cut down some more filler scenes esp in the last 10 eps so,, idk
• i hoped they explained the hidden plots (like function of masks) a bit earlier bc

it's kinda annoying to understand why the masks r supeRR important?? they didn't k!ll you but losing it seems like the biggest, most atrocious offense ever lol
• love to see xuanji's eyes lose her naïvety, i like character growth plot the most.
• i did enjoyed the show, but in

my PERSONAL list it sits underneath tmopb and aol. it is NOT bad, just my preference of the cp bond,,, aol>>>>tmopb>>>lar.
• to me, it feels like:
lar— teenage love
aol— 20ish love
tmopb— adult love (like idk how to word this but maybe bc the character images are both older too)

• i love all the osts but the one that got my heart the most is the ost that accompanies wuzhiqi-zihu's loveline: trial. it gets me right in the feels
