an exploration of the swirling dimension of punarvasu and pushya 🌀
pushya is often regarded as the most auspicious nakshatra and venerated for it’s giving qualities, but there is a swirling storm that lies within these natives that is often not addressed. this storm being symbolic of the portal or dimension that transforms these natives.
punarvasu and pushya are often regarded as twin or pair nakshatras. in tamil, pushya is called poosam and punarvasu is called punarpoosam. in some texts, punar means “to combine, join, or unite”.
it is said that in the conjoining of poosam and punarpoosam lies an inter-dimensional portal. punarvasu and pushya serving as the gateway pair that supports the frequency exchange emitted from this portal.
“puna” means repetition or renewal and “vasu” means “ray of light”. thus, punarvasu means to be repeatedly enlightened. this is why punarvasus are often reported to mimic people, as they take, mimic, and renew the rays of light from other people. hence, the “copycat” stereotype
the web of punarvasu’s repetition of enlightenment and pushya’s nourishment lies in the bow and arrow đŸč. punarvasu is symbolized by the quiver of arrows. whereas, pushya is symbolized by the circle and arrow.
punarvasu serves as the unwavering and steady ambition one needs to survive the storms of life. whereas, pushya represents the arrow surrounded by the protective circle ⭕. this circle is a reoccurring theme in numerous films starring pushya natives.
the movie “by the sea” (starring pushya lagna angelina jolie) is about a struggling couple in the 1960s. in hopes of a fresh start, the couple decides to go to france and befriend this young couple who is staying in the room next to them.
the wife in the young couple is played by mélanie laurent (punarvasu lagna) and the husband is played by melvin poupaud (punarvasu ketu).
not long after the struggling couple befriends their neighbors, they discover that the wall between their two rooms has a radiator pipe hole, enabling them to watch the couple talking and participating in a multitude of sexual affairs
the wife, vanessa, (played by angelina jolie) has some unknown trauma—i won’t spoil it—but she and her husband spy on this couple, through the hole, wishing to emulate what the young punarvasu couple represents: a once carefree & beautiful time spent in the union of relationship
in the film “coraline”, coraline voiced by pushya chandra native dakota fanning) accesses this portal/hole in the wall to visit her “other mother” and “other father”. in doing so, coraline got immediate reprieve from her current parental issues.
while residing in the pink palace, there are numerous examples of pushya’s circular symbolism. the circular buttons, in the other world, symbolize the other mother’s desire for control of the other world.
specifically, the other mother wants to control coraline’s freedom. coraline was not aware of the other mother’s negative motive, but there was an interesting clue to this that many are aware of today.
the “welcome home” cake the other mother prepared for coraline features a double loop on the O. according to graphology, a double loop on a lower case O means that the person who wrote it is lying. there is only one double loop, meaning she is welcome but she is not home.
meaning coraline is no longer home but in another dimension all together. coraline was also given a stone with a hole in it by miriam forcible and april spink (played by jennifer saunders, punarvasu surya).
it was given to coraline because she was in "terrible danger", according to them. the women believed this because they read her tea leaves. their prediction turned out to be true, since coraline became the other mother's newest target.
the stone was a protective amulet that warded against evil magic. while coraline has it, it keeps her from falling completely under the other mother's power, and at times the other mother seems to be repulsed by it.
in both the book and the film, the stone allows coraline to find the lost souls of the ghost children when she looks through the stone's hole, as a ghostly voice told her to do.
in the film “holes”, starring shia lebeouf (pushya chandra), a boy was wrongfully sent to a brutal camp, where the camp warden and her staff force him and the other children in their care to mysteriously dig holes all day long in the desert.
digging these holes resulted in a sense of camaraderie, but it’s end result was a deep life lesson for all characters involved. it showed the meaning of finding family in friendship and the struggles of poverty, homelessness, and racism.
a couple of minor examples are in the movie “pact”, starring mark steger (pushya rahu), he spies on multiple women and girls through holes in the wall and craves to capture them and force them to live through the holes in the wall too.
in “futurama”, leela (played by pushya chandra native katey sagal) is spaceship captain, pilot, and head of all aviation services and wears this device that opens portals and can allow her crew mates to travel to different dimensions.
this affinity for portals, dimensions, and holes embodies both the energies of pushya and punarvasu. the wholeness of circularity entrances the native and lures them in. the brightness of the dimension is also captivating.
i’ve noticed punarvasus are the ones to entrance the pushya native and be somewhat of a guide to them, i.e. in “by the sea” and “coraline”. much like how the arrows of pushya and punarvasu represent the divine portal which has the power to return after completing their task...
in these scenarios, the pushya native always returns from their portal. in “by the sea”, the struggling couple learns to stop glorifying the punarvasu couple and find healing; in “coraline”, coraline learned to stop taking her parents and life for granted;
and in “holes”, labeouf learns that even though you make mistakes in your life, it's never too late to change them.
even if the arrow hits it’s target, it will eventually join it’s quiver of arrows again. pushya natives may stray in hopes of gaining more, only to return back to their roots eventually....
it was once told that krishna lifted up mount govardhan. he was depicted effortlessly lifting up the mountain to shelter his followers from the storm of the god indra (the lord of brihaspati).
the swirling, ever-looming turbulence depicted above is reminiscent of the spirals of the wool of sheep (the yoni of pushya) and, in turn, the alluring spirals of the holes and portals of pushya.
this kind of stormy sentiment seems to be quite aligned with their imagery, as these natives are inclined to embody the electrifying swirls of blue and red.
pushya natives feel called to water, not only in a lunar and an elemental sense, but also due to indra’s lordship of brihaspati. indra is the stormy god of thunder, lightning, and rain.
halle berry (pushya native) played the character ‘storm’ in “x men”. her character could control the elemental forces that preside over weather, similar to how krishna manipulated the weather of indra.
it is fitting that one of pushya’s auspicious professions lies in the aquatic field, as these natives seem to even take endorsements that pertain to water itself.
such as, selena gomez and her water tap commercial, madhuri dixit and her aquaguard water endorsement, kate moss and miranda kerr even designed their own reusable water bottles, etc..
this affinity for rejuvenating water and embodying one’s own storm/sea is why many pushya natives in the aforementioned scenarios are unaware of the dangers of other dimensions because they’re mesmerized by it’s glamour, as water is imaginative and receptive.
pushyas are indeed quite spiritual, as they are the natural devotee. however, brihaspati himself is the guru himself and the spirit of vastness of the universe. there is great significance in brihaspati’s mythology when examining pushya.
as i discussed previously, i have noticed pushya natives to be rather obsessed with concept of death/rebirth. pushyas is connected to guru shukracharya, the shukra graha. guru shukracharya was a manas-putra (mind child of lord brahma). https://twitter.com/vindelllas/status/1366609176634527745
guru shukryacharya could bring back people from the dead, as he was the preceptor of demons. because of this, juxtaposed with the spiritual shakti of pushya, fascination with other worlds can be common for these natives.
excellent examples of this are pushya natives like lil uzi vert and jimi hendrix. both men were/are interested in the phenomena of extraterrestrials, distant planets, auras, etc.. this is clearly prevalent in their music specifically.
in turn, these natives naturally wish to feel the manifestations of their imagination on the physical plane. this births this need for escapism from time to time.
it’s important for these natives to remember sometimes the allure of something can be so strong, but it’s important to not forget what you had in the first place...
