Jungkook, an angel, saved a human& #39;s life. Jimin, the human, had lived a hard life. Despite the odds, they fell in love. How good can this love be when two different worlds seperate them and they are so drastically different?
What was it that brought them together, to be united in this perfect love?
Jungkook must have been delivered to him by fate. Jimin had uncharacteristically found himself at death& #39;s door when Jungkook, in a moment of great courage, saved him. From then on, they were inseparable. They shared every part of their life with each other.
That was how it was to this very day.
Yes. He often reflected upon that day with fondness. It was a day that had changed his life, after all.

Jungkook, an angelic young man in his best years, stood alone on the beach, gazing over the navy water with his seraphic cinnamon orbs. His obsidian hair rustled lightly in the ocean breeze. He smiled to himself with anticipation,
resting his cheek against one hand as he traced a finger along his silver necklace. He wore a milky shirt that left his bloom-colored-flushed light-colored arms bare and a pair of atramentaceous jeans that showed off the shape of his body.
His ebon strands brushed against his earlobes, complementing his spotless plush-flushed milky visage. Beautiful wings sprouted from his back. For a moment, he absorbed herself in these thoughts, of him, and Jimin.
"Jungkook," Jimin said simply with an admiring look-over and a smile on his face. His crimson pools complimented his charcoal hair, brushing against his ears, belying his unique heart. He was dressed in that exotic fashion in which he was most comfortable.
He was alabaster, tinted with sorrel, and sturdily built. A prominent scar stood out on his rouge-flushed milky skin. A symbol marked his skin. As Jungkook drew nearer, he caught a note of Jimin& #39;s familiar reek of tavern ale. He smiled to himself.
It always reminded him of the time they shared.
"Oh, Hyung! You came!" Jungkook said breathlessly, reaching out to take him into an embrace. Jimin let him hug him, seeming almost embarrassed about it as he patted his back. With that, they began to walk along the beach.

"So," Jimin began, "how& #39;ve you been lately? Anyone giving you trouble?"
"Oh, n-no," Jungkook stammered, "not at all, Jimin. Everything& #39;s been going well, and, um...." He blushed. "I missed you... that& #39;s all."

Jimin let his hand fall across Jungkook& #39;s back, muttering quickly as if almost embarrassed, "Yeah, I missed you too." Jungkook was silent in response, only leaning toward Jimin& #39;s warmth. "You& #39;re a good person. You know?"
"Why do you say that all of a sudden...?" he murmured. "I& #39;m not that especially good."
"I figured you should know." Jimin glanced at him before placing his hands behind his head. "Hanging out with a rascal like me hasn& #39;t changed you a bit."

"You shouldn& #39;t say that about yourself," Jungkook whispered. "You& #39;re not a rascal. Just strong of spirit."
Jimin laughed at himself and looked up into the sky,
Jimin laughed at himself and looked up into the sky,
dropping his arms and thinking about the simple feeling that he was corrupting something pure whenever he hung around Jungkook. "Not really. But if you say so."
Jungkook slipped his soft hand into his. With a little smile, he stated, "You& #39;re so good to me, Jimin. I can never tell you enough how much you mean to me." Jimin held his hand and thought to himself that that was enough -- that if he meant something good to this one person,
nothing the rest of the world said mattered.
While they walked down the beach, they spotted a natural alcove in the cliff bordering the beach.
"Oh! Is that..." Jungkook began.
Jimin pressed a finger to Jungkook& #39;s lips and said, "Yeah. Shh. Come on."

The natural alcove was covered in creeping vines with leaves and tiny flowers. The sound of the ocean echoed all around them, and tiny crabs burrowed into the sand at their approach.
"It& #39;s beautiful, Hyung."
"It& #39;s beautiful, Hyung."
"I know," Jimin murmured as Jimin closed the distance between them. "So are you."
Jimin& #39;s lips were soft against his, and so too were his hands. Jungkook was arrested by the smell of some drink Jimin must have had before he came.

When Jungkook surfaced for air, he whispered, "Oh, Hyung..."
It was some time before they left the alcove.
It was some time before they left the alcove.
"Look... it& #39;s the sunset."
Jungkook lifted his head at Jimin& #39;s words to behold the dying sun& #39;s tangerine radiance. But even as he replied, "How beautiful," the inky clouds looming on the horizon worried him. "Hyung, I& #39;m worried about those clouds. Maybe we should go back."

Jimin looked at him with such daring globes and asked, "Just a few moments more? I want to savor today."
"Mm... if you want to," he relented.

They were unprepared for how swift, how brutal the coming storm was. The rain poured in torrents, bading the ocean itself to rise. Winds whipped about them and kept them from moving on the shifting sands. Soaking, shivering, they fought against the storm.
"Jimin!" Jungkook screamed against the wind. "Please, don& #39;t let go!"
"I won& #39;t!" Jimin shouted back, his hand clasping his firmly as Jimin struggled upward on the beach. "It& #39;s my fault! I won& #39;t fail you, Jungkook!"
"Jimin--!!"
"Jimin--!!"
His scream was lost in the crash of waves against his body, the roar and power of the sea risen to steal him from his lover.
He struggled against the water, but it was too much. The violence of the storm-swept waves forced him under without contest. His angel wings did nothing.
He struggled against the water, but it was too much. The violence of the storm-swept waves forced him under without contest. His angel wings did nothing.
The waves had beaten the air out of his lungs. Desperately, he willed herself not to suck in the icy water about him. Will I die this way? he wondered. Will I die... like this...? Are the gods angry at me for loving a human? For abandoning my duties?
A soft hand seized his and Jungkook felt himself being pulled up, up and up until the cold wind hit him face again. He coughed, sucking in the air greedily.
His arms had tightened themselves around Jimin& #39;s neck without permission, and Jimin was shouting, "Hold on, Jungkook. Hold on!"
"Jimin," he murmured. "You shouldn& #39;t have. We can& #39;t make it out here. This way, you& #39;ll die, too...."
"Don& #39;t talk like that, Jungkook," he commanded. "We& #39;ll make it through."
"Jimin..."
"Don& #39;t talk like that, Jungkook," he commanded. "We& #39;ll make it through."
"Jimin..."
Thunder crashed in the distance, and the waves pitched and brought a mouthful of salty water against their faces. He coughed and held on to Jimin, thinking, no, this isn& #39;t how it should end, this isn& #39;t how *Jimin* should die...
Something bumped against Jungkook& #39;s leg. A shark? Fear coursed through his body. But before he could react, another wave pushed them under. Jimin slumped against him, momentarily knocked senseless.
With burning eyes, Jungkook saw a large silhouette with a slender body and a bottle-like nose.
A dolphin, he thought. How lucky.
Summoning forth all his will, Jungkook put Jimin on the dolphin& #39;s back.
It was the last thing he did before his world went black.

Three days later...
"He was always so sweet, so gentle. I don& #39;t think I& #39;ve met anyone else so kind."
"The world is truly darker without him, without our little light."
"Don& #39;t forget what he did. How much he helped us in those dark times."

Jimin sat on a chair by the coffin, his hands around his knees, his orbs dry, his soul too numbed to grieve. The funeral attendees nodded to him as they passed. He nodded stiffly back.
The reception lasted hours, but it seemed to Jimin that it was only moments before the crowd disappeared. He picked himself off the chair and turned to look into the coffin for the first time since the funeral started.
Eyes closed and still, Jungkook laid inside in a fine inky suit, his hands clasped over his chest. His wings cut off. He could have been in a very deep sleep. Jimin fought the urge to reach out and nudge him awake. Jungkook was gone. Gone because of him. Because he loved him.
Casting a long look at his beautiful visage, Jimin leaned in and laid a single kiss on Jungkook& #39;s lips.
