Alright, here& #39;s my thorough breakdown of the Hibiki Takane trailer, I& #39;ll point out references from her previous appearances and a bit of my personal opinions
She& #39;s my main in LB2, however I don& #39;t have much experience with her CVS2 side

Her core design is mostly intact, but she has one sorta notable difference
Her scabbard and sword are much more curved this time around, in LB2 it was completely straight

Now getting into the gameplay part, the first move we see is something that looks similar to her LB2 6B, although it doesn& #39;t quite pack the same range
Next is a deflect into what references her LB2 623C, into a new follow-up
Unlike in LB2, she slashes with her sword instead of hitting with her scabbard
The follow-up hit is a new move to my knowledge, and it looks pretty damn cool!

This is a move she has in CVS2 and not in LB2! It looks fantastic
Nothing much to say about issen, I& #39;m surprised they kept her original DM as a separate move when it visually looks very similar to issen
236A looks very nice! They kept the bright rose color and make the angle a bit sharper, here& #39;s how it looks compared to its LB2 version

In LB2, if you hit this at a very close range the move will cause a hard knockdown, that does not seem to be the case in SamSho
However, it seems that she now has a bit of invincibility during the move? Can& #39;t say for sure, but it definitely looks like it

Her counter stance does not see much use in LB2 as it isn& #39;t particularly easy to use, but it& #39;s in full show in her trailer

SamSho captured the beats of the moves comboing into each other perfectly, 236B even seems to have more weight now in HD

And now we see... Hey, that& #39;s the original 623C with the scabbard hit instead of the slash version we saw previously! So there& #39;s two different versions of the move now?! And it... cancels into 236A and then... cancels into a new special entirely?! Things are getting exciting!

For those who dont know, her final pose in the trailer is not in fact new, it& #39;s been there since LB2
Hibiki normally cries when you finish a fight by killing someone, if you continously do that she will get used to it, so it& #39;s quite rare

Alright! Broke down pretty much everything that was in the trailer save for... Her new voice actress! I wanna start this off by saying that from what I& #39;ve heard, Sumire Uesaka-san does a good job as Hibiki, but her direction is not something I& #39;m a big fan of
What I mean by "direction" is the portrayal of the character
To me, Hibiki was always a kind and insecure girl who had a killer side to her, she made innocent steps with an unknown killer intent, which I have always adored
At least, that& #39;s what she was like in LB2

From CVS2 onwards Hibiki has been much more fixated on that killer side of her, funnily enough shying away from her shy side
Does this mean that the voice actresses have done a bad job? No, of course not. They have just taken the character on a different direction, that& #39;s all

Finishing this off, SamSho Hibiki seems to take heavy inspiration from her CVS2 side while also having everything that made LB2 Hibiki distinct
And she& #39;s bringing new stuff too like the rekka I mentioned in the thread, can& #39;t wait to see her in motion!

But... Why do I care so much? Why does Hibiki matter so much to me?
To me and some other people, she carries the soul of the game we all love so much, all the legacy it left, and all the hopes we have for The Last Blade 2 in the future
(And God I hope this actually happens)

Shes also in my top 3 female FG characters, down to how she plays, her attire, and personality along with voice acting
