...big promotional campaign and splash and etc., etc. indicating to fans "If you're loud enough, screw our own creative decisions - screw something that makes sense on so many levels - we will give in." And now we have billboards trying to do this.
Listening to fans is important. Understanding feedback from fans is important. Fans have great ideas and can think of things that you didn't and if something isn't working, the fans can tell you why and you can fix it...
