Game Jam tip 19 of 20 Take progress screenshots

Take screenshots of your game as it is taking shape! I often wish I had more screenshots of my game jams during development. If nothing else its good for the nostalgia factor of just being able to look at how far your game has come since the beginning.

You might find it handy if you’re doing a post-mortem, or sharing the progress with friends. Perhaps you want to reference how long elements took you as you prepare for your next game jam.

You can take screenshots as you go, or you can also use an automated tool such as Chronolapse ( https://www.chronolapse.com/index.html ) which will automatically screenshot your desktop for you at specified time intervals.

I have used Chronolapse before to make time lapses of my game jams (such as ) but one could also use the tool just to grab some shots of your jam without you having to worry about it in the moment.
