a thread abt this old dreamsmp au idea i had in september here we go

so basically everyone in this universe has a connection to a specific celestial body, and they also gain certain abilities pertaining to them, such as heat manipulation for star / sun bonds or slight gravity manipulation for satellite / moon bonds, etc.!

you find out what ur connected to via a symbol that burns itself onto the back of ur hand for a short time when ur 5, with the celestial body's name written under it. you then wear that symbol on a necklace, bracelet, ring, piercing, etc., with its specific name carved into it

+

for everybody else to see. so everybody knows what type of body you're connected to at first glance, and what specific body you're connected to if they pay more attention.

but bc everyone knows who everyones connected to, there sprang up a fucking hierarchy bc humans r humans

so people with connections to supernovae, suns, bright stars, or nebulae were thought of as sophisticated, rich and smart, while those connected to planets, dim stars, moons, dwarf planets and planetoids / asteroids were regarded as more dirty, stupid and poor people

anyways onto the actual dreamsmp bit because that was just the infodump on the connections lol anyways

so tommy was actually the one who ran for president of l'manburg, with wilbur as his right hand man

tommy was connected to sol, our sun, and wore his symbol on a necklace

wilbur was connected to sirius A, the brightest star in the sky, and wore it on a ring that sally gave him (thats not rly important though)

anyways tommy was nicknamed the sunstone of l'manburg or just sunstone because i fucking said so

but anyways onto the important bit

tubbo was connected to luna, our moon, and was best friends with tommy

so wilbur got pissed because he was like tommy ur supposed to be l'manburgs bright and shining sun u cant associate with a fuckin moon that'll damage ur reputation!!

and tommy didnt give a shit like lol ok who cares and so wilbur was like uh huh. sure.

anyways then behind tommys back wilbur said fuck it and sought out a rogue void-bound (aka blackhole-bound) to curse tommy and tubbo (the rogue is foolish now because i fucking said so)

(the void-bound have the ability to create curses bc they like draw in positivity around them like a black hole)

and so tommy and tubbo r cursed to never interact with each other ever again - they can't talk or message each other, leave signs/notes to each other, or even have

+

someone pass messages to one another for them. something will, guaranteed, get in the way of them interacting, no matter what happens

so tommy immediately notices that something's off and his first thought is oh god is tubbo okay

but obviously he can't reach him

and wilburs all like dont worry about tubbo just worry about your presidential duties!! and tommy's like... oookay i guess

but meanwhile tubbo is like wtf i cant reach tommy is he ignoring me wtf!!! and nikis like hang on im gonna investigate wth is going on

anyways theres nothing specific here but essentially she finds wilbur and figures out what he did and shes like WTF DID U DO THAT FOR and wilburs like it was for the country!!!! and nikis like oh my god ur an idiot whatever. im going with tubbo to find someone to reverse this

and hes like lmfaoo you'd need a supernova-bound to do that (bc idk like supernovae cancel out black holes??? look okay i dont know either) and there aren't any supernova-bound in l'manburg el em ay oh

and nikis like ok there arent any void-bound in l'manburg but you still

found one. fuck you we're Finding One so she goes to find one with tubbo and wooo they find one (it's sam because i fucking want it to be)

anyway while theyre doing that quackity is like tommy whats wrong tommy and tommys like lol just found out wilbur put a curse on me

and q's like damn. thats kinda crazy that sucks. i got cursed to never be able to fly with my wings (duck hybrid quackity thank you very much) so i can kinda understand the pain of being cursed to go without something youve had like forever

so the become good friends lawl

anyway then niki and tubbo come back with sam and break the curse but tommys rly mad at wilbur as they do and is fucking setting shit on fire and tubbos goes all hang on and uses his little bit of gravity manipulation to make waves to put out the flames because MOON WAVES

and tommys like YOOOO TUBBO ??!??!?! and wilburs like. s. sorry about cursing u guys haha. and tubbo and tommy forgive him but he leaves lmanburg for a while anyway bc he feels bad about it

and then quackity's there like yoo nice and tommys like wait wheres the supernova

and niki brings sam there like yoooo and tommys like hello awe s. dude can you reverse q's curse as well and sams like yeap sure. and voila q has working wings again WOOO

and then tommy tubbo and quackity become best friends and everything is great life is good in this au

not going to lie plot is very shit but the bonds with celestial bodies bit is pretty cool i might end up using that for something one day
