The one people will be most interested in I imagine is allowing people attending the G7 conference to avoid hotel quarantine and self-isolation
I haven't tweeted for a while on the hotel quarantine regulations - I have been doing quite a bit of work relating to what is happening in hotel quarantine which I hope to be able to speak about in general terms soon. Some pretty extraordinary things happening in these hotels.
There have been some important changes to the rules since I first tweeted about them https://twitter.com/AdamWagner1/status/1360270063832600577?s=20
For example, a number of important exemptions have been added where the secretary of state can at his discretion make alternative arrangements outside of the hotel quarantine system - such as at home.
"vulnerable as a result of severe medical or health condition" - with various provisos
I think (though can't be sure) this was added as a result of the pre-action letter sent in the litigation I have mentioned I, @TomRHickman and @Francis_Hoar are involved in

There is a new policy (released a couple of days ago) about medical exemptions. It goes further than the exemption itself, you might notice - harder to fit into the policy than the law. Another example of guidance going further than law... https://www.gov.uk/guidance/exemptions-from-managed-quarantine-for-medical-and-compassionate-reasons#history
