Sometimes when I see people cast aspersions because they need content to drive silly agendas, I just shake my head.

For the records, Nigeria has 18.4m cows. 56% in the North West, 27% in the North East, 19% in the North Central, 2% in the entire Southern region.
Most of the nomads who invade farms across Nigeria are actually not Nigerians, there are Nigerien, Cameroonian, and Chadian herdsmen, who most times, migrate cattle because of the desertification of the sahel, and the lack of water and pasture for their livestock.
Now I understand this is a thorny issue that has caused the loss of lives and property, but it's important to understand that a database for cows is like creating a Radio Frequency Identification (RfID) tag for each cattle that helps the govt track its history and ownership
Rustlers, thugs and bandits have unfortunately taken advantage of nomads to perpetrate evil, and further divide Nigerians along religious and tribal lines.

It's important to set the records straight, as there is so much distrust between the North and the South.
Again, me I do not care about silly political differences and tribal nuances, I'm only interested in data, facts, business growth and national development.
And for those who think cattle business is for illiterates who don't know their way in life: Lagos alone consumes 8k cows daily that's valued at an average of #1bn daily for beef. Do with that figure what you may!
