Opening statements from Nattalyee Randall (couldn’t find a Twitter account to tag, but Insta is @/nattalyee) included a land acknowledgment for the stolen ground we are standing on at Columbus Circle, saying George Floyd’s name #SayHisName, and reading the 6 demands.

@ThisIs_Essence just shared her stories of racism from team members at Dear Evan Hansen: asking her to straighten her natural hair to play Zoe, telling her not to tie her hair up because it looks like a “little stub.” She asks: is this the Broadway we want to return to? Hell, no!
