Joyce and Brian Smith adopted a 5month old boy called JOHN SMITH because their kids were all grown.

They loved him and he was their son.

In January 2005 when John was now 14, they had public holiday in school and decided to hang out with his two best friends.

#OdogwuTales
They were messing around taking pictures on the frozen lake in St.Charles, Missouri when the thin ice cracked, plunging them all into the freezing lake below.

John's friends managed to climb out but he couldn't and he was screaming "I don't want to die" inside the freezing lake.
When the rescue diver, Tommy Shine came, he was already dead as he had been under the freezing lake for more than 20minutes.

The rescue team worked on him to revive him but they couldn't get a pulse so he was transported to St. Joseph West Hospital where the emergency team...
worked on him for more than 40minutes.

They were unable to get a pulse or a heartbeat.

Johns body temperature was 88F (31 Degrees), this is called "Severe Hypothermia" in medicine.

Normal body temperature is between 36.5-37.5°C.

They tried warming him thinking it would shock
his system into responding but it didn't work.

Dr. Kent Sutterer determined there was nothing else they could do but before he could call his time of death, John's adoptive mother came, so he decided to give her time to say her goodbyes.

Joyce approached and saw the lifeless
body of her son as she felt his cold feet, she knew he was gone but she recalled the scriptures she heard in church that said "The Holy Spirit would raise Jesus from the dead".

With nothing to lose, she held her son and prayed so loud that the entire emergency room heard her.
She prayed the words "I believe in a God who can do miracles!, Holy Spirit, I need You right now to come and breathe life back into my son."

As Joyce prayed over her son, in that very instant, the heart monitor sprang into action beeping, there was a pulse!.

JOHN WAS ALIVE!!!
The nurse beside John's body said, "The minute she prayed, something moved up John's body with such a force, it pushed me back and suddenly I got a pulse"

The doctors told said he had only ONE PERCENT chance of surviving the night and if he did, he would be a vegetable for life.
He was airlifted to Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center where world renowned hypothermia and drowning expert, Dr. Jeremy Garrett attended to him and said

If John made it through the night, he would be so neurologically impaired, he won't be able to regain normalcy again.
John survived the night, not just that, 16days later, John proved everybody wrong by walking out of the hospital with no trace of neurological impairment or physical damage.

His case stunned doctors and medical experts and led everyone to credit his recovery to GOD'S MIRACLE!!!
Dr. Garrett said, "It's A Bonafide Miracle".

John's case is now studied in medical schools because the medical community has started there's no way he could have survived and that he is completely restored to what he was before the accident is unheard of.

"E SHOCK THEM!"
Joyce and author G.Kolbaba wrote about John's experience in the book, "The Impossible" which was adapted in the movie "BreakThrough".

Before the incident, John wasn't a Christian but now he is, as he said " I'm truly excited to see where God is taking me to".

Watch That Movie!
Now to end this thread up, look at that dead situation in your life, you've got nothing to lose at this stage, let's say the same prayer Joyce made.

"We believe in a God that can do miracles, Holy Spirit, We need You right now to come and breathe life into our situation"

AMEN!
If you said that prayer with me, I want you to believe the prayer you've made, like I said, "You've Got Nothing To Lose".

TRY GOD NWANNE!!!
