THREAD:
This scene is important for so many obvious reasons but what I also love about it is that, when you read between the lines, you can feel how hurt Chloe is over how much her world was turned upside down....
#Lucifer 1/7
On top of getting the Devil/Hell/Heaven revelation, a revelation which would send any human spiraling, she learned that her ex-fiancé, a man who she thought she loved at some point, was a murderer and immortal crime boss...
#Lucifer 2/7
She's a detective but didn't even see what was right in front of her and let Cain in her life. Didnt see that Lucifer was telling the truth for 2 years, albeit a crazy truth. Didnt see that Dan was involved in Palmetto...
#Lucifer 3/7
This has taken a toll on her. She's lost confidence in her ability to read ppl and doesnt trust her own instincts anymore, even less as she's lost in this new world full of celestials, hence why she seeks Amenadiel's opinion.

#Lucifer 4/7
But her job, this ability to read ppl, is a huge part of who she is. Here she's lost sense of her identity. Who is she if she can't do that properly? She isnt sure of her place anymore, doesn't rly feel like she's on an equal footing, even called herself "a nobody". #Lucifer 5/7
This also plays in why she went to Rome, why she was so easy for Kinley to manipulate. I always get hurt at how she shoved all that she knew of Lucifer (who he is and what he did for her) in a box in favor of what Kinley showed her, before she saw #Lucifer again....
6/7
But why would she trust her instincts & what she knew abt #Lucifer when her judgment was flawed repeatedly? Mistakes on a grander scale each time. She'd better trust another "authority" on those matters...

I wished they'd expanded more on this & Pierce's impact on her in S4.
