Been getting a lot of questions on how to buy $AFEN on Julswap

This thread will teach you instead “How to buy any token on Trust Wallet and the difference between Wallets and Exchanges”.

(Let’s kill one stone with 2 birds or whatever they say...🌝)

First you have to know the difference between a Wallet and an Exchange.

A wallet is simply what the name implies, a Wallet. It is a software program in which you store cryptocurrency look at it like a Bank.

An exchange lets you convert currencies either from Fiat
to Cryptocurrency or from one Cryptocurrency to another.

Look at it like a market where you buy and sell but this time what you’re selling is currencies.

Exchanges also provide a wallet—but you don’t necessarily have full control of that wallet.
An example of a Wallet is TRUST WALLET.
An example of an Exchange is BINANCE, FTX

An exchange is also divided into 2, Centralized Exchange and Decentralized Exchange.

-Binance, Quidax are Centralized Exchanges
-PancakeSwap, Julswap are Decentralized Exchanges
Now what’s the difference you’re wondering? What do they mean?

Centralized means that there’s a single authority that controls the entire system.

Decentralized is simply the opposite.

Remember our example on a Vending machine? I’ll recap for emphasis
“Although not so common in Nigeria, there is a machine called “Vending machine”, you put a coin inside and it brings out a Soft drink or snack”

The purpose of a vending machine is to eliminate the use of ‘Iya shade’ who has to sit at the spot and you give her N200 for Pepsi
and she looks for change to give you.

Look at Centralized exchange as “Iya Shade” but this time she has to ask you for your name, your phone number, your BVN, your ID card and email before she sells Pepsi for you. Why does she ask you all that?
So if you want to take Pepsi on credit, she has some collateral or maybe if you bring fake Naira note she can trace you đŸ€’

Look at Decentralized Exchanges as the Vending Machine, it doesn’t care about your name or face or IDCard, just put your money in and Collect your Pepsi.
To use a Decentralized Exchange, you need to connect with a Wallet. The most common Wallet is Trust Wallet.

Download the Trust wallet App on your Store and save your wallet keys. If you lose your wallet keys your money is gone because there is no bank manager or customer care.
Set up your Wallet keys and Write them down, Also save them somewhere in your Personal Email. This is very important!

If you use an Android, you’ll find that there’s a built in browser on the Trust wallet App.
Click the browser and type the link to the website ( http://Julswap.com ) ( http://exchange.PancakeSwap.com ) you’ll be asked to connect your Wallet. Click Trust wallet in the Pop up Menu and it connects then you can exchange what coin you want.
If you use an iPhone you won’t see a built in browser, you have to input it.

Simply type this in your notepad and click to enable the Dapp browser in your Trust (trust://browser_enable).

(Download the Trust wallet App first I know you want to click 😒)
Some Tokens are already listed on Exchanges while some are not but the Website of most Tokens or Coins usually provide a direct link that you can click to buy their tokens on Decentralized Exchanges just incase they’re not listed.
$AFEN is listed already on Julswap but this is the direct link to purchase $AFEN.

https://info.julswap.com/token/0xd0840d5f67206f865aee7cce075bd4484cd3cc81#/

Just input in your Trust Wallet browser. Do this for any other token you have a link to.
Please note that this is not a financial advise for you to buy anything. All tokens have a chance of going from 50-10 and from 50-500. Pls do your due diligence.

Exchanges which come under the “Binance Smart Chain” like PancakeSwap and Julswap require that you have BNB in your wallet. The exchange takes a few cents from your BNB to complete your transaction, as little as $5 worth of BNB must be left in your Trust wallet at all times or
your transactions will not go through.

You can’t buy BNB on Trust Wallet, you have to buy from Binance and send to your Trust Wallet (Smart Chain BNB) address. There is BNB and there is BNB Smart Chain on Trust wallet. Any BNB you’re sending is to Smart Chain using “BEP20 BSC”.
