I exclusively use the subreddit for my MLP content and news, and their policies are far better about this, so I was largely shielded from this reality. To see just how deep it runs, through Derpibooru's admins, is dizzying.

Remaining "neutral" just gives hate groups ground. Ignoring the problem makes it worse. Brushing it off because it's your friend makes you complicit.

It may start as a joke, or it could be an ironic post.

It isn't too late for Derpibooru, but they need to take a hard stance. They're the most popular MLP image repo, highly visible in the community. It's essentially the E6 of MLP.

...Which turns out to be an appropriate comparison, much to my disappointment.
