Important note: There is contradictory info about these suspected attacks in Syria. Some sources familiar told us of multiple instances of troops developing flu-like symptoms consistent with such attacks. But others told us at least one of these ended up being food poisoning.

A Pentagon spox, meanwhile, said the department is not aware of directed-energy attacks against U.S. troops in Syria.

Just goes to show how murky this situation is. And let's all remember that Russia thrives in the gray zone.
