I don't think the situation is the same because Nigeria is not a socialist state and offers us nothing.

But the wars, the terror, the persecution of minority ethnic groups, and hyper exploitation of natural resources that will ensure after a breakup will have the same effect.

This is because none of the people advocating for break up have any plans on how to make the balkanized mini states different for the oppressed masses. Actually, the fact that their analysis focused on ethnicity shows they don't understand Nigeria's current problem to begin with.

So when you create a 3-5 mini Nigerias with at least 3 of them being Ethno states, what then? How will that actually liberate Nigerians from the tyranny of the ruling class?
