It's always cool to see quotes of blogs/bloggers on the back of books, but let's remember that there are many smaller blogs that fly under the radar who are just as worthy of being quoted as the usual suspects, but who aren't.
You wrote a review, a fantastic review, you shouted about and you loved the book, it's out in paperback, the next book in the series is out, but it's quotes from the same old few all the while and while it is amazing for them and doesn't mean anything to the book itself, bloggers
would love to see themselves quoted as it'd be something really cool for them, but regardless of how long they've blogged and how established they are; if they aren't part of a big blog and contribute they are ignored in favour of the big blogs.
Fantasy, it's the same old and yes, they are amazing blogs and bloggers, absolutely amazing and worthy of all the acclaim, but unless you contribute to them you have no chance of being quoted. And yes, I'd love to be quoted on a hardback, for me as a blogging achievement and it'd
be super cool, no other reason just something that would feel like an achievement and like my review mattered to the book, the author and the publisher/publicist. Instead of post review, ignored forever more as my small blog and reviews aren't as good.
Yeah, I'm sure that there'll be backlash over this thread, have at it.😜 It's just my opinion as I'd love to see not just my blog, but ANY of the other small blogs quoted too who have reviewed a book.
