I doubt my views on AFTV are a secret, but we do need to focus on the bigger problem at Arsenal, which is Stan Kroenke.
They will be at the protest on Friday, there's no way of stopping them and to be fair each one of them has a right to their opinion. The issue is how that >
opinion is presented and the fact that behind it, with the medium itself, is an ulterior motive for making money.
Arsenal fans should be involved in any direct action for one reason only; to do whatever we can to encourage KSE to either change their motivation for owning the >
club or to sell up to another entity, who will (hopefully) run the club in a more competitive manner, rather than just looking at the spreadsheets. I think we have seen this week that KSE is not going to change their motives, so we need to apply whatever pressure we can to get >
them to leave.
No fan at a protest has more of a voice than any other. Each fan that turns up is exactly that, a fan putting himself out to try & influence positive change.
They should be doing that because they love the club, not through any personal agenda or attempt at self >
promotion.
Conversely, because of the success of AFTV & their undeniable popularity amongst some of our fans, they will reach out to a lot & if it means they can get bodies down there to swell the numbers, then that is a positive.
When part of the previous protests at Arsenal, >
I appeared on AFTV, interviewed by Robbie. My sole aim being to try and reach out to as many fans as possible, in order to get bodies at protests. This worked on several occasions, even though the mere presence of AFTV would, I knew, prevent some fans turning up, as even back >
then they were seen as a pariah. I make no apology for the hypocrisy of that, I'd do anything required back then to try and enforce change and I will do the same now, because getting rid of KSE is far more important than my morals around AFTV. Plenty will disagree, I realise, >
which is their right, but the focus of fan action now simply has to be on the biggest problem at Arsenal; Stan Kroenke.
The club will love nothing more than us being distracted from them, by fighting each other, divide & rule has been used for years to keep people down.
On >
Friday, at the protest, it should be easy to just turn a blind eye to AFTV & their entourage. Let them do their thing & you do yours. Ignore them and concentrate on making your voice heard by KSE.
Remember, we are doing this for the Arsenal.
