As I stated before, I will be taking a step back from campaigns as I feel I reached the end of the line on what I can offer for the cause. Before I do that I want to let the new comers know what I have learned from being in this fight for 4 years straight. 1/
I Will give some advice also. It is up to you to take it or leave it, but I hope you do as I am sure it will help you in this movement. 2/
1. This isnât an easy fight. This isnât just tweeting. This will feel like youâre full time job. I literally spent 4 years straight, with the time I was awake, doing something related to the Snyder Cut. Time will most likely be the biggest thing you will sacrifice. 3/
2. I was called toxic for tweeting out a hashtag, for defending my favorite director from false accusations, and for not fighting for other franchises I am not a fan of. The point is, you will be called toxic no matter what. You donât need to feel like youâre 4/
walking on eggshells when you are just voicing your love for a director and his movies. I am definitely not encouraging you to be actually toxic, just donât be afraid to show your voice. 5/
3. The movement has a few factions. My advice is to remain neutral. Thereâs so much you can achieve with every faction, so donât let anyone persuade you to declare war on people from the movement they had a bad history with. This movement needs more neutral members. 6/
4. You will be labeled so many things, from terrorist to Alt right. Develop a thicker skin. It took me a long time to work on that myself and still am, but these things will exhaust you, especially if it comes from film journalists or bloggers. 7/
5. Let your only goals be to bring good through charities and to restore the Snyderverse. And only that. If you were also hoping to get Zack on a stream youâre setting yourself up for disappointment. This will involve digging in Hollywood politics and bending 8/
the knee to specific people, and not everyone is capable of juggling morals. Hollywood politics in the fandom level is awful, and itâs one thing that makes me think that Zack Snyder being this close to his fans is a big double edged sword kind of situation. Also 9/
prepare yourself to fight so hard and doing so much for you to end up not getting a special screening while a blogger somehow gets access to the premier. I have seen how much that hurt people, and they didnât deserve that kind of disappointment. 10/
6. This is probably one thing I am 100% sure of, so if thereâs one advice you will take from this, let it be this one. When it comes to campaigning, never ever, and I mean ever, listen to Stephen Colbert. I am strictly speaking about campaigning. The guy has been 11/
speaking against every campaign we did since 2018 and he has been 100% wrong, on all counts. Donât listen to bloggers who tell you what to do/not to do with campaigns. They have so many things to consider; their âbrandingâ, their relationship with other film bloggers, 12/
and their film industry networks. They wonât have the right answer concerning grassroots campaigning. Follow your gut and passion. Thatâs what we did, and thatâs how we won. If we had listened to Colbert once we wouldnât have gotten the Snyder Cut. 13/
7. This shit is emotionally exhausting. You canât keep going nonstop. Some people have more endurance than others. Donât be ashamed with taking breaks from fighting for the Snyderverse. It took me a while to take some time off and I shouldâve taken it more often. 14/
8. Just tweeting is not enough, just billboards and plane banners is not enough, and just YouTube videos with the occasional Snyder interview isnât enough either. We need all of them to fight. Donât let anyone tell you otherwise. 15/
9. If for one second you feel inferior in this movement, drop it and leave. This isnât meant to make you feel that way and if it does it isnât worth it at all. We are all equals in this. 16/
I hope what I said can help you in anyway. Cherish the relationships you will build from this movement. You will become friends with people you never thought you would. Whatever happens, you will love this experience. Good luck, and hopefully you can #RestoreTheSnyderverse. 17/
