Double jeopardy, the legal principle that prevented suspects being tried twice for the same crime was scrapped in 2005. Gary Dobson and David Norris are tried for Stephens murder in November 2011. Both are found guilty and are given life sentences. #StephenLawrenceDay
The Stephen Lawrence Foundation, was established to inspire a more equal, inclusive society, and to foster opportunities for marginalised young people in the UK.
