Today @POTUS Joe Biden is hosting a climate summit.

President Biden has made it clear that the world’s biggest economy is preparing for a clean energy future.

Countries around the world are preparing for that future.

But under Scott Morrison, Australia is being left behind.
Mr Morrison will have to convince other countries that his government gets it.

But Australians see right through him, and so does the rest of the world.

All you have to do is look at the members of his government who don’t even believe in the basic science of climate change.
Scott Morrison likes the job title but not the job.

When it comes time to lead – and to pull his rogue science-denying colleagues into line – he’s nowhere to be seen.
If I was Prime Minister, we would be going to today’s summit with a plan to be proud of – one that will reduce emissions by creating hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs.
We can be a country that leads the world in manufacturing batteries, wind turbines and solar panels.

A country that actually commits to net zero emissions by 2050.

A country that makes and exports clean energy.
Australia is the luckiest country on earth – blessed with minerals, sunshine, wind and smart, hard-working people.

What we lack is a government with vision to harness all those assets and build a better, cleaner energy future.

That's exactly what a government I lead will do.
