I've been told that today is #WorldEarthDay2021 and therefore this is my opportunity to share a few organizations that I like and are allowing anyone to do their part for the planet any day of the year. A short thread.

1. @joinTRINE is a company that allows any individuals to pool together to invest in the deployment of solar power in off-the-grid regions of the world, not only making an impact on the environment but also reducing regional inequalities

2. @WCGrid is a well-known shared computing system, allowing you to donate computing power to support research. While focused on supporting medical research (most recently the fight against Covid-19), they also support environmental projects

3. @coeurdeforet is a French non-profit fighting to prevent deforestation and promote sustainable management of forests around the world. Looking for English-language similar organizations, I also fell on @reforestaction.

I'll focus on those for this thread, as you might not have known them. Feel free to respond by sharing people and organization who do their part and give them some visibility !
