Priority is to save lives. Do not waste crucial time in looking for a bed at a private hospital. Yes, the government hospitals may not offer the luxury that their counterparts run by private sector possess. (2/n)

But the treatment is very good in Govt. Hospitals (three of my close relatives who were critical recovered at some of these facilities) And the government has enough stock of Remdesivir and other drugs for now. (3/n)

Some private hospitals are finding it difficult to source the medicine and are outsourcing the job to relatives of patients. In many cases, the government has provided the medicine to the patients from its pool. (4/n)

Government hospitals are equipped on par with many private hospitals (in some cases, better) to handle all eventualities. It would be difficult to take the call, but please do not hesitate. Get them to government hospitals if you don't get a bed in private. (5/n)

Am neither an expert nor an authority on this topic. But speaking from my own experience as people show hesitancy in taking even critically-ill patients to government hospitals. If cases continue to rise rapidly, even the government hospital beds may be full. (6/n)
