I think all AIRPORTS failed India FIRST. There were close to no controls at airports for quarantine, for testing returnees, even checking reports. There were multiple scams at Mumbai airport to let go off people returned from abroad.

This has allowed variants to spread. No care was taken in any form since October anyway, masks were forgotten,quarantine and due care was not taken. This means we don't even know how many passengers escaped strict controls. This HAS to be urgently repaired.

A central policy for airlines and airports is critical. It has to come ASAP to prepare for future waves.

The next thing that has to be done is RESEARCH. Funding for gene sequencing has to be done. THIS has to be prioritized by the Centre.
