Kilmer’s Bruce doesn’t get enough love.
I mean
Look past all the hang ups. There’s a lot that rocks.
Including THIS god damn it.
It was all right there.
I know I’ve gone on about it before but underneath the choices driven by a reaction to its tonally darker predecessors and some moments that feel like they were guided by toy sales, there’s a deeply interesting and psychological movie waiting below the surface.
The film is also one of the more visually interesting of the series. Schumacher took Burton’s goth and drenched it in neon and that’s not nothing. Goldblatt really goes for it too.
It’s a bummer that the movie seems to have been reduced to a thumbs up gif when it’s full of shit like this

I’d argue this scene works completely as is if Dick Grayson looked like an actual 16 year old here.
