As a Jimin-bias, I just want to share my opinion about the auction.

To be completely honest, I'm not against the selling of Jimin's handbook, as long as it is washed, for the following reasons:
~HYGIENE. Especially with what the world is going through right now, we should promote proper hygiene and selling unwashed clothes does not do that. It instead implies that it is alright for people to even wear unwashed clothes just because a celebrity had worn it first but +++
it is not. After everything we have been through recently, shouldn't we start being careful with our hygiene to prevent this situation from happening all over again?
~PRIVACY. Jimin is one of the most influential and famous people in the world right now, but even still, he is still a person. So selling his unwashed clothes may actually be a breach of privacy since people he have never met in a personal way may buy it just to "smell" him. +++
I mean, imagine yourself in his shoes. How would you feel knowing that somewhere out there is a person with your clothes, doing god knows what with it? Not everyone is the same, I'm aware of that. There may be some who will buy it then wash it themselves or not necessarily do+++
anything with it except maybe hang it somewhere. However, there is still a huge possibility and you can't deny that. If both Jimin and HYBE gave permission to the designer, then by all means, go ahead and sell it. The designer owns it anyway, it's just a matter of respect. +++
Jimin deserves all the love, respect, and recognition the world can give. He is a genuinely kind and caring individual so it isn't shocking that a lot of people are drawn to him. But please, don't make him an obsession. It even goes against what BTS stands for- loving yourself.++
The person we should love the most is ourselves because only then can we love others completely and bravely. Jimin had even sang in his song Promise: "I want you to be your light, baby. You should be your light."
Don't forget that we still have a responsibility as an ARMY, Jimin-biased or not. Our responsibility to advocate the messages BTS worked so hard to spread to the world; to spread a love that breaks barriers. So we should walk our talk just like our beloved BTS.
