question. how do y’all interpret yoongi’s “if you feel like you’re gonna crash, accelerate” line in nevermind? i have my own interpretation but i’m curious to hear what others see in that line

i see a lot of interpretations surrounding the same idea, n it’s interesting. id never thought of it as “go out with a bang”. always thought of it as, fear is a sign you’re on the brink of something that could be huge so yea you’re scared but do it anyway, do it while scared.

acknowledging the fear of the unknown especially since the whole song deals with going on even when you fail along the way + there’s an element of changing the approach you have to the unknown, by thinking of it in a more “childish” way; yoon mentions youth multiple times+

, first when he says when he was younger he wasn’t afraid of anything then when he says not to worry about failure so much bc we’re still young.

children don’t let the unknown paralyze them, they want to discover what’s on the other end so bad so what do they do? accelerate.+

so when you hold onto that idea as you grow (engrave it) you change your relation to the unknown and it doesn’t stop you anymore, you avoid being that stone that doesn’t roll & gathers moss like he said & you accelerate even if it *feels* you’re gonna crash. how i see it anyway.
