Okay well yknow what I am gonna start rambling about Technos backstory in "steal gold, cheat death, then we'll go far" if you wanna wait until I actually write the fic about it, then ignore this thread because I will basically be throwing out the SPOILERS okay cool so-

Techno first met Phil when he was a kid, wandering around on his own. It was midnight at the time, and to Techno, Phil was just some old man on the shore who sat in the water watching the waves. He sits down beside him, and chats for a bit, before going off again

A few weeks pass, and Techno is still this dirty, orphan kid on the streets, and he goes to the beach once more to find a quiet spot, and finds Phil. This time he asks for his name, and Phil asks for his. Techno thinks hes nice.

Techno starts to visit Phil every night or so, and Phil starts to warm up. At first impression, Phil had been very cold and unfriendly, but a few months pass, and he's smiling again.

Technoblade gets kidnapped off the streets one night, and gets shipped off on a boat to another land. The ship mysteriously sinks, and Techno swears he sees Phil over him when he starts to wake up, but when he's fully awake, he's on shore alone, and the ship is a wreck

He goes to the local town, gets a job, starts to try and place himself in the new bustling town hes wound up in. A few years pass. Hes a fumbling teen, and hes tired and annoyed. He goes to the shore, and sees a familiar face. Phil greets him by the waves with open arms

Technoblade tells him how everything has changed so much, and how he didnt mean to leave, and Phil assures him saying they probably would have come across each other at least once more in their travels. After being alone and struggling for so long, Techno is glad to lean against-

Phil once more, and he starts to ask Phil more personal questions, like of his own life. Technos told everything of his own job and boring life, so he wants to know Phil's. Phil is vague, but he eventually gives up details, saying that he was once a sailor.

"I miss sailing at sea. Had my own crew once. You could've called us pirates, even."
"Why dont you just sail again?"
"My crew is gone. I have no ship. It's not meant to be, Techno. I'm meant to stay here at the waves."
"...what if I get you a ship?"

Techno suggests quitting his job and becoming a pirate, so Phil can join along. He asks for Phil to come with him to town, so they can try and find a crew, try and get some money, and Phil has to say no. Techno keeps trying though, and he continues to visit each night.

"We can sail together. I don't know what happened to your old crew, but it'll be better, right?"
"My old crew left me a long time ago." And I dont want you to leave, either, Phil doesn't say.

Techno one day gets fed up and says goodbye, telling Phil that hes going to become a pirate, with or without him. He's bitter and angry, and Phil just let's him go, never leaving shore. Techno becomes a pirate, and over the course of several months, he earns the name "blood god"
