The Canadian government does not keep a database of the # of children killed by a parent in the context of separation/divorce. It does not track children failed by the family court system like Keira. It does not track or measure the harm & trauma to children caused by Judges 1/4
In the US, a grassroots organization called The Center for Judicial Excellence @JudicialCenter keeps track of this data. Since 2008, 782 children have been killed by a divorcing/separating parent and 106 children were killed in preventable cases. Family court system failures. 2/4
The Liberals' federal budget talks about better data for better outcomes, yet nowhere does it mention keeping data on children harmed or killed in these circumstances. Acknowledgement is the first step towards progress. Keira, Chloe and Aubrey Berry, Riya Rajkumar 3/4
Noah ( @tbrancalion78) and Foster Dawn (J.C. it wont let me tag you), and the many other children killed by a parent in Canada and elsewhere deserved so much more.
