okay so, here is a theory for/thoughts about lootcrates and the monument decree, i guess (a thread )

all we know about the monument is that it will allow for “the top 99 events of each season [to] be remembered” at surface level it sounds mostly inconsequential, but this is blaseball, nothing is what it seems (1/9)

now, during this season we’ve seen the further and increased involvement of the lootcrate. within blaseball lootcrates is the official historian of the IBL, they keep a record of events that happen... one could even say that their job is to, *remember* events (2/9)

so currently, by upshelling events to 1k, we the players can can cause the historian to remember and tweet out events this can in turn have an impact on the events that happen in game (3/9)

this has been shown by the past upshelling of "they sent the fish back" and subsequent return of fish summers from elsewhere (4/9)

so far, events caused by making use of this mechanic, and how we can impact the narrative of blaseball is highly limited and fixed. this is due to lootcrates only being able to remember one event at a time (5/9)

however, it with the monument decree now an option, this could quite possibly change drastically. we will no longer be restricted to remembering one event at a time, but instead we will now be able to cause the historian to remember the top 99 events (6/9)

you might ask, why is this important? well, it means we will be able to create bigger events than what we could previously call for (7/9)

as well as giving us more control and possibly over what we want to cause to hopefully happen (it would be much like how we create messages on the global feed) (8/9)

and also, its important to remember that it is the top 99 events by the end of each season, so we can still get the lootcrate to tweet things out during the season by getting them to 1k upshells (end of thread)

most of this is just many jumbled thoughts that i've tried to translate into words so i really don’t know if this makes any sense, i hope it does

anyway, this thread got way longer than it should’ve, so tl;dr

the monument decree could possibly allow us to send more detailed messages and propositions to the lootcrate, and then cause or influence an event in game. like what currently doing so with upshelling messages to 1k
