Today is my 1st anniversary of when I started blogging and I am celebrating it by giving two back to back presentations. If a year ago you had told me that I will be presenting at #PowerBISummit along side some of the experts in #PowerBI that I look up to, I'ld have laughed..
Blogging &community learning has accelerated my growth. It motivated me to learn topics that I would not have learned otherwise. It has opened so many opportunities that I did not know about. I would like to thank #PowerBI & #Azure community for being so welcoming and encouraging
If you are thinking of blogging, don't think.. just do it. It took me 3 months to write my first blog. Blogging is hard but it's totally worth it. Focus on your *own* learning and NOT what others would find interesting. If a topic has been written about 1000x, write it in your own words for the 1001th time. We all learn by synthesizing information, by picking from different sources and connecting them...
Do you only pick the first link in Google search ? No. As they say, there are 10 ways to eat a banana (I made that up). So you do you. I doubted as well but I read singer @meliss_uh_yeah said in her interview "Do it for YOU". I never thanked you for it Melissa.. "THANK YOU!!"..
You can start with wordpress or if you work in Jupyter Notebooks like me, use Fast Pages. So far in the last 1 year, my blog has been visited over 75,000 times, which is just unreal.
