A US Capitol Police officer directed "all outside units" on the morning of January 6 via radio broadcast to only monitor for anti-Trump agitators "who want to start a fight," & not any "pro-Trump in the crowd," according to newly revealed info cited in an internal investigation.
Rep. Zoe Lofgren described the radio broadcast, the existence of which was not previously known, during a House Administration Committee hearing on security failures around the January 6 attack.

A committee aide told me Lofgren's questions underscore point that USCP, based on available intel at the time, had ample reason to expect violence from pro-Trump protesters but supervisors were still advising front line officers to “focus on & prioritize anti-Trump protesters."
I would note that USCP has still not responded to our multiple requests for comment on Lofgren’s comments.

Update: USCP spox tells CNN the radio communication occurred around 8am morning of riot. Spox added the communication was meant to guide officers to also look for clashes between pro-Trump protesters & counter-protesters. Officer who made comment is not under investigation.
Worth noting that USCP is not denying this audio exists nor what the officer allegedly said ... the statement also doesn’t refute anything we’ve reported.
