In case you missed it: we launched FigJam today at Config!
There are a lot of product detail tweets out there and also in our talk: https://www.figma.com/community/file/966758353418952225

One">https://www.figma.com/community... rewarding thing, personally however, has been reflecting on what I’ve learned from it and the people I learned from:
1) To hire people you believe in and to mentor them through trust.
We hired @keeyeny earlier this year straight from school. It was rewarding to be a small part in helping him tackle a VERY visible part of FigJam. He showed so much craft and diligence. https://twitter.com/keeyeny/status/1384937459063087104">https://twitter.com/keeyeny/s...

2) To trust myself(!!), even when I’m doing something for the first time.
I’ve always found myself most confident when managers believed in me more than I believed in myself. @nlevin was definitely that.

3) To be bolder when making new products!
I’ve worked with @ryhanhassan since the start of my career and he’s consistently pushed me (and our teams) to do more with our craft. The toolbar was a really great example of this.

4) It’s (usually) better to go with your intuition to make a decision instead of floundering.
@eymlin was fearless in asking all the questions upfront and bringing us to make hard decisions quickly. Here’s just a *peek* into our question storm.

5) “We’re going to get it wrong the first time. Let’s just build it and tweak it”
I worked with so many special engineers who were SO down to try things out.
@sawyerhood, @lbudorick @ryanjkaplan @katiejiang @jessieteaa @suaurial @minigolf2000 @willyvvu and tooo many more

ALSO a small homage to my REAL @HackTheNorth roots. The landing page design published by @stanhuan was something I used in my mockups that somehow made it to a press kit.
Full circle, because that experience was one of my earliest design experiences! https://www.protocol.com/figma-figjam ">https://www.protocol.com/figma-fig...
