I'm 42 year old woman, a grown-up with a husband, family homes, career. I'm so happy to have friends and fans on Twitter. I also understand if young people want to curate their timelines for ANY reason.
If you're an adult and purposefully hiding your age from children, that's sketchy as heck.

There's nothing wrong with sharing in fandoms with people of all backgrounds, but don't forget about the power dynamics and ALWAYS prioritize the safety of others.
If you feel insulted and think "Why shouldn't they feel safe talking to me!?! I'M not dangerous!" Stop. Look at how dangerous it is for kids on social media.

Stranger danger isn't in the street, it's not even at home. It's in the palm of kid's hands EVERY moment of the day
