A thread of very Zodiac sign and the Gods associated with it

Part 1/3: Aries through Cancer

Each sign & planet represents and conveys the energies of certain gods. Your natal chart's composition may reveal or explain which Gods can be most helpful or resonant with you.
Of course you should revere and respect them all, but it's natural and good for each of us to be more focused on certain deities. This also means that we may be imbalanced or lacking in attention to certain gods that can help us a lot.
For example, a person with heavy gemini influence might be comfortable with Hermes but be in need of a better relationship with Saturnian, Lunar, or Neptunian energies to balance out their inner lives.
Anyway, without further ado, let's begin the first list of four signs and the Gods that rule them
Aries:

Obviously Mars, the eponymous planet is its ruler. The Sun, Helios or Zeus-Helios, is also exalted here. Very fitting as Aries is the "origin" and source-point for the astro year.

A heavily Arian person may need help from Saturn to stay consistent and not fizzle out
Mars is also the traditional ruler of Scorpio, mirroring a sort of split between Greek Ares and Roman Mars: wild abandon in war versus steady, disciplined soldiering.
With Libra as its axial opposite, the polarity between Mars and Venus (libra's ruler) is important to both placements; Mars can overcome Libran passivity and Venus can temper Arian excess/harshness
Taurus:

Venus rules here, plus Lunar deities as the moon is exalted. Sensation, desire, nurturing, & safety are heavy influences here.

Taurus is heavily involved and invested in this world. The Bull is symbolic of an excessive presence-in-matter manifesting as great strength
Taurus the bull and Aries the ram, both horned animals, both strongly connected to the two "luminaries," sun and moon, the most important planet.

Just as Aries is connected to Venus via opposition to Libra, Taurus is connected to Mars via opposition to Scorpio
Scorpio and Taurus' connection is important as Scorpio pushes Taurus to look deeper under the hood and not get too absorbed in the material while Taurus helps keep a paranoid Scorpio grounded and secure.
Both of these first two signs are heavily reliant on a single pair, Venus-Mars, a couple which I believe can be tied to Dionysus who is both the creator and absolver of polarity. He is also strongly associated with all horned animals as symbols of power.
And now Gemini:

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, Hermes, the playful communicator, merchant, and priest.

It is also, of course, tied to the divine twins; The Asvins, the Dioscuri, Hengist and Horsa.
If I had to summarize gemini in one sentence it would be this: Gemini places the /self/ outside of the body. This is how communication, sharing info and wealth and worship, is made possible.
Castor and Pollux: Castor is born mortal and Pollux is not

!Pollux is Castor's soul!

And through him Castor eventually attains immortality
Gemini's opposite, Sagittarius, is equally flighty and outward-looking, but Sag does so from a secure throne in itself, seeing the Other as sheerly Other rather than as an extended self, a habit that sometimes leaves Gemini impotent
CANCER (my sun!):

Cancer is ruled by the Moon and exalts Jupiter.

The moon is all about the boundary between inner and outer, the "sublunar" vs "numinous" worlds. It rules the soul, the subconscious, elemental water.
Neoplatonism assigns rulership of the moon to a processional triad of three goddesses: Hera, Demeter, and Artemis (the last of which includes Hekate, Selene herself, and according to some even Kore/Persephone.)
Hekate fits as a Cancerian goddess on account of her interaction with boundaries, the subtle currents of magic, and her worship as a household protector.
Hera meanwhile fits as queen of heaven - the Moon and Sun, the two luminaries, are said to be the king and queen of the zodiac. Thus Cancer exalts Jupiter, the spouse of Juno (The moon-jupiter connection will come back in Sagittarius via Artemis).
Cancer's Jupiter exaltation relates to its role as homemaker, nurturer, mother - Jupiter is all about growth, Cancer is about enabling it, though moreso in others than in itself
Cancer sprawls out her sense of self to include the people around her and then puts up thick barriers between them and the outer circle, being very defensive and reactive as attacks on the circle become attacks on cancer's own self.
(That is a Heran influence that we will actually see mutated in Aquarius)

Cancer's Opposite, Capricorn, ruled by Jupiter's frienemy Saturn, provides Cancer with much-needed coldness and a calculating proactivity that balances the crab's reactionary mother-bear instincts
