Hey, it's me with a HisoIllu personality thread because yesterday I had a lot of free time due to my insomnia.

I’m a fan of psychology and this kind of matter, especially if we link it with HisoIllu….

Also, a friend had asked me how to describe Soka & Illumi personalities due to a fic that she wanted to write and, she was afraid of reaching the Ooc side of the characters...

... Personally, I agree with the presentation that each person gives to the ship and the characters, sometimes more or less close to the canon, but this representation can always feel like a great personal headcanon….

... and maybe what I point to in this thread is just a great headcanon that I have on the HisoIllu based on a Briggs indicator….

... Why point out that Hisoka and Illumi are Challenging Opposites? (In fact they are).

Well, it's because ENTP & ISTJ type people have the greatest potential for personality shock and conflict compared to the other 14 (out of 16) personalities in the Myers Briggs Indicator...

First, let's define the personalities of each of the characters in a simple way.
Let's start with Illumi, who is associated with an ISTJ personality:

... People with an ISTJ personality type tend to be reserved, orderly, and practical in their behavior. They are self-sufficient and work hard to meet their obligations. ISTJs prefer to be alone and may be quiet and reserved in large group settings...

Hisoka is ENTP type

People with an ENTP personality type tend to be expressive, curious, and spontaneous in their behavior. They enjoy debating and thinking about issues from different perspectives. They thrive around people and will almost always engage with those near them...

According to the MB Indicator, tensions between these two personalities are inevitable, ISTJ-type people like Illumi tend to have fundamentally different values and motivations from ENTPs (like Hisoka), initially, so it seems impossible for them to relate ...

This isn't surprising, after all the differences between them are notorious, an example is the murder concept they have. While Illumi sees the murder as a job that must be committed to clean and fast and no fuss...

Hisoka is the opposite side: enjoying a great show when he kill people, drawing attention and leaving a small bloodbath ...

It's certainly interesting how the personality theory keeps giving me HisoIllu clues on it, I mean, suddenly it's like describing them ...

... At least in this sense I think Illumi is more frank, direct and literal compared to Hisoka who repeatedly makes allegories, uses metaphors, lies and uses language that can be interpreted in a double sense. What I mean is that one is literal and the other, not so much....
