TTP was trying to make inroads in Balochistan from 2016 onwards. It played an important role when LeJ merged in the ISKP (Daesh) chapter for Balochistan back in July 2016. Mufti Hidayat was elected as the first Emir of ISKP. In the oath taking ceremony, few TTP commanders...

..which included Jehangir Badini, Asfandyar, Sumair Afridi, Waleed, Dilawar, Asmatullah, Rafiullah and Noorullah from the TTP pledged allegiance to Hidayat. Mufti Hidayat is the one who planned the suicide bomber attack in which Siraj Raisani along with 127 people died in 2018.

Mufti Hidayat was killed by the SSG in Kalat on 20th july 2018 where he was living as Samiullah Thekedar. The complete chapter of DAESH in Balochistan was wiped out by the end of 2018.
