Dear Prospective Scholars,

Please resist that attitude of UNHEALTHY COMPETITION with your fellow prospective scholars.

Refrain from hoarding scholarship information or refusing to assist others.

Something happened recently and I will share it in the next thread.
I used to be an admin in a free scholarship WhatsApp group where I was actively involved in assisting other prospective scholars with essays and CV reviews amidst
other things.

Remember, that I am a prospective scholar as well. But that didn't stop me from assisting others.
Recently a member of the group secured a fully-funded scholarship and he messaged me to inform me of his scholarship and appreciate my inputs towards the scholarship he secured.

Funny enough, he wasn't a close paddy and I couldn't even remember assisting him in any way.
He had to do some throwback when I assisted with reviewing his emails and essays to enable me to remember. Screenshots attached.

The feeling I got from knowing I am part of someone's success was second to none. Even though I'm still expecting mine, I am happy he made it.
Over the weekend the tables have turned around. He's assisting me with my GRE preparation and I've made a lot of progress in the last few days.

He made a 320+ GRE score and we are working together to ensure I blast as well.
Now imagine I withdrew from assisting him initially, will he be willing to go on a 3-months GRE mentoring journey with me?

As prospective scholars, we need to learn the habit of helping others.

Helping others won't stop you from getting your scholarship.
Apart from assisting prospective scholars, you can as well volunteer to assist scholars on Academic Twitter on some scholarship projects going on in this space.

Do not always wait to receive. Learn to give.

You receive better when you give.🤗
Some scholars here have recommended me for some opportunities. Not because of my intelligence but because of my contributions to the Academic Twitter Community.

Now ask yourself, what have I contributed to the Academic Twitter Community? THINK ABOUT IT and CHANGE.

Thank you.🤗
