NOW: Attorney General Charme Allen is expected to speak in the midst of continued public desire to see the body camera footage from last weeks officer involved shooting at Austin East

According to body camera footage we’re seeing right now this all started after a domestic dispute at 12:30 on April 12th. Another incident happened at 12:48. Anthony Thompson Jr then got into a dispute over text with his girlfriends mother.
At 2:51 Anthony was notified that police were in the building. This is while his girlfriend and mother are filing a police report from their home.

Now at the point where 4 officers are in the school searching for Thompson. As they’re doing this- he is in the bathroom. Another officer gives this group a tip that the bathroom is a place where Thompson hangs out a lot
Officer Jonathon Clabough was the one who ultimately fired the shots that killed Anthony Thompson Jr. He was the only officer to fire his weapon.
The District Attorney General says Clabough had “reasonable belief” to think his life, and other officers lives were in danger before he pulled the trigger
BREAKING: The bullets that struck both Thomson Jr and Officer Adam Wilson came from Officer Clabough’s gun.
The only shot coming from Thomson’s gun was a bullet that went into a trash can next to Officer Baldwin in the midst of a struggle. The gun was in his hoodie pocket, and was a 9mm glock.
Anthony Thompson Jr was in the Austin East Bathroom for 4 and a half minutes after the was shot before the school nurse got to him.

In summary there are NO CHARGES against any of the 4 officers for the shooting or for failure to render aid due to the devastating nature of the gunshot wound.
Allen says she doesn’t know how the gun got into the school. Thompson was seen outside multiple times, sitting on the staircase inside, and the ultimately in the bathroom.
