Is it awkward when somewhere considers "mental health" under the heading of "equality and diversity"?
Yes - if we don't consider health and wellbeing as part of the EDI (and accessibility) aspect - then EDI&A is missing a point, AND the mental health of marginalised people is something that needs addressing.

Why is mental health consideration in Universities not considered in the same breath as the systematic obligations to address things like "health and safety" and we just have "awareness" and "well being" weeks etc. etc.
p.s. as per my onboarding at work - mental health, bullying and harassment & more are considered health and safety issues/violations within my province (and considered as part of WorkSafeBC)
