prince would still be here today if doctors gave him proper pain management

prince died because he was trying to relieve his pain, it's that simple. we (rightly) talk a lot about opioid addiction but very little about pain management and what an overly restrictive culture around pain medication for those who actually need it does to patients.

Prince thought he was taking Vicodin, a completely safe and legal pain reliever. Instead he was taking Vicodin laced with fentanyl that he obtained without a prescription. No one can really say why, but I’d bet it all on him not getting the supply he needed from his doctors.
